Baby Luke Henry
The family (my family) of Baby Luke Henry Knippelmier needs your prayers and help. As most of you know through our church, Luke Henry is a miracle. His parents, (my cousins), David and Tracy, prayed to have Luke for many years after the loss of their first child, Ava. She was only 6 weeks old. After 13 years of failed pregnancies and countless fertility treatments, Luke was born prematurely on January 5, 2018. His mom was 24 weeks pregnant. Luke weighed 1 lb. 6 oz. Since his birth, he has faced numerable challenges and has more to come. He has lived in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (“NICU”) at two different hospitals his entire life – (245 days, as I write today, September 6, 2018). However, he recently underwent his 3rd surgery and, this time, received a new ray of hope - a tracheotomy. The trach, as oddly as it sounds, is an encouraging sign because it means that Luke will be able to go home with his parents in a few months! When he does, he’ll need many things to thrive: your prayers, various medical equipment, medical supplies (about 256 pieces will be delivered to his home monthly), temporary in-home nursing care, thorough home sanitization and temperature regulators – (just to name a few). While his parents have been blessed with excellent medical insurance, they will still have a plethora of financial hurdles that insurance will not cover. Because of this, we humbly request your prayers and financial assistance during this new chapter/blessing of life. Thank you so much.
