Hi, I am fundraising for a dear friend of mine Ava, who went into labour on Wednesday 23rd June and unfortunately had a prolapsed cord which called for an emergency cesarian.

This is rare to happen, and the baby’s body compresses the cord and the baby’s oxygen supply is compromised. Baby Luigi is in NICU, the seizures have stopped but they are still draining blood from his little lungs and he has swelling on the brain. His condition is still critical.

In their country the government does not help with medical expenses and it’s costing around $3500 per day for medical care and medication. They had saved up enough money but did not expect all these extra expenses and money is running out fast and they are so worried because they cannot finance the medical care he still needs or the medication. It’s really a parents worst nightmare.

Baby Luigi was baptised in the hospital yesterday morning by the hospitals priest and I am his Godmother. Ava, RJ and I will do anything to ensure Baby Luigi gets the medical care he needs to get through this and hopefully make a full recovery and have a normal life.
