Hi, thank you for helping or sharing the fundraiser!

On August 11, 2023 I was rushed into an emergency C-section at 37 weeks 2 days pregnant due to some issues discovered during my check up.

After the C-section, baby L and I were both tended to ASAP for complications (he was taken to NICU & I was taken to another floor)!

Since, the following has occurred:

Baby L has been having Apneic episodes (stop breathing more than 20seconds at a time) and eating/stomach issue as well which resulted in him having to stay in the NICU and have a feeding tube, oxygen and IV placed. He will not be released until he is done having episodes and they are unsure why he is having them yet and have done and have to do multiple tests and scans to try and figure it out. He is stable at this time but still has a ways to go

From the surgery, I have had excessive bleeding issues , iron and blood count issues, clotting issues, swelling issues, UTI from catheter during surgery, and more which has resulted in blood transfusions , lots of testing and monitoring and medications in which is still occurring to stay stable.

Due to the last minute surgery and medical issues occurring that were not anticipated for both baby and I, we’ve accrued a lot of unexpected costs quick and it’s undetermined how long baby L and I will have to stay in hospital.

These funds will go directly to medical costs and costs of living as I can not work during this time and neither can my husband as he has to attend to us and help and FMLA & insurance only covers so much.

*UPDATE 08/29 I am out and on meds! Few issues still but healing day by day and taking care of them!  ❤️*
