Baby Logan's Journey
For those of you who have been following along with Baby Logan's Journey through his mom, Angela or his grammie Dubey, you will know that this has been an enormous lift for the entire family. Logan is a twin to Lillie, born this past Spring. In all honesty, it was a surprise late in the pregnancy of just what mom would face when she would meet Logan for the first time.
He is now at Gollisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, over an hour away and may remain there until his surgery date of August 17th. And from there it's most likely a few more weeks of recovery. It's summer and the kids at home are missing their mom. Each day is a little harder on everyone, including Aunt Amanda who is helping out though she has her own children and then there's dad Cortney who is trying to continue to work during all of this. Big Sophia is now 13 and going into 7th grade and big brother Max who just turned 2 years old and are missing their mom terribly. Even Logan's twin sister, Lily is doing her part by keeping the smiles going! Each one wishing it was "normal " again. It's hard to watch Logan's mom going through this alone and missing her kiddos while being vigilant in watching Logan every minute. And Grammie Dubey, whom we all know from her care for own kids and seeing her smiling face at our doctor's offices. The entire family is exhausted. I've never done a GoFundMe page before, but as I watch this story unfold, I can't help but wonder what will happen when they get home. Sure, a lot is probably covered medically with insurance, but what about all the time missed from work. These are UNPAID absences from work. How will they get by after they get over this next struggle? And What if there is another struggle? There is nothing more tiring than having financial stress. We are all going through it now, but even a little bit from each of us, will help this family. If you can't give money, we also have Meals organized. At the very least, we can all pray. Just pray.
