Baby Lillian Van Zee’s Medical Journey

Lillian Suzanne Van Zee was born 2/25/24!

Jayc and Kate welcomed sweet little Lilli five weeks early at the Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado! Mom, Dad and Lilli are all doing well but will have a long haul with lots of surgeries for Lilli.

Lilli’s GI and Urinary tract did not form all the way causing her to develop fluid in her abdomen. In order to prevent further complications the team of doctors caring for Kate and Lilli decided it was best that she make an early appearance!

Lilli underwent the first of three surgeries on Monday 2/26/24 she is recovering well and continues to improve. She will have to stay in Denver until her due date of 4/1/24 unless she stabilizes and is able to come home sooner.

Lilli’s following surgeries to help reconstruct her GI and Urinary tracts will require extended stays in Denver for Lilli and her parents over the course of the next year!

We are asking you to help, if you can, in relieving some of the financial burden Jayc and Kate will have with the out of pocket expenses they are going to experience through this journey and alleviate some of the stress allowing them to focus on getting Lilli the care she will need.
