Baby Levi’s Medical Bills
Donation protected
On October 11th, 2021 at 2:36 a.m. Levi Matthew Rogers entered the world at a whopping 2lbs. 12 oz. Levi was born 3 months earlier than his planned due date of Dec. 31st. Prior to Levi being born Victoria (mom) had spent 3 weeks in the hospital on bed rest due to medical complications that would require her to remain in the hospital till Levi’s birth. Once Levi was born they informed Matt and Victoria that he’d spend at least 2-3 months in the NICU for recovery and monitoring as he continued to grow. Since he was so little and came so early, he has needed help breathing and eating. He was put on a cPap machine when he was first born and is now on a nasal cannula to help him breathe. He has been getting fed through a feeding tube, but will soon try and learn to be bottle fed. You can imagine that the amount of time spent in the hospital for Victoria and Levi that the hospital bills have continued to pile up in an astronomical way!! This go fund me page is just a small way to help a wonderful couple that would do the same for anyone else!!
To put into context how expensive it is… some information is listed below.
1 day in NICU - avg. $3,000 per day
NICU baby cost vs. full term- 10x greater
NICU avg stay- 28+ weeks or older is close to 50 days.
While Matt and Victoria are insured no one is prepared for this sort of financial strain. I know that whatever we can raise for them will be a big help in moving forward in caring for Levi in a way that the rest of us would desire if he was ours!!! Thank you all for your love and support!
