GoFundMe
Thank you so much for coming to this page to support the wonderful Robinson family. As most of you know their baby, Lenox, was born at 27 weeks. His birth, although hard, was an incredible miracle.
On November 13th, Lenox was born via emergency C-section. The doctors reported that had he not been born that night, even that minute, he wouldn’t have been born alive.
This is the incredible Story of Baby Lenox and his journey so far.
Other than some complications with bleeding early on, Elyssa’s pregnancy seemed to be healthy and moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, things took a very swift turn around 27 weeks. Elyssa stopped feeling Lenox move. She could tell something was wrong. Thank God Elyssa listened to her instincts and went to the hospital. If she hadn’t, Lennox might not be here with us today.
Lenox has been a miracle baby from the moment he was born. At the time of her delivery, Elyssa’s placenta was nearly fully detached. The doctor told them that he had never delivered a baby and a placenta at the same time.
Lenox was born weighing 1lb 1oz and was measuring 10 inches long. He was immediately intubated and admitted to the NICU. Although his long journey was just beginning, he was quickly labeled the “mystery baby” by hospital staff. He continues to have setbacks but time and time again miraculously overcomes them with the help of medicine and sometimes all on his own. We can see the hand of God on Lennox and his little life is already a light to those around him.
I’ve started this page because at this point Lenox has spent over 70 days in the NICU. Insurance can only cover so much of the expenses that have accumulated over the past few months. However, it’s not only medical expenses at this point.
As you know Elyssa and Matt also have 3 other children at home. So in order to go spend time with Lenox and do important things like skin to skin holding, Elyssa has to pay for childcare. With baby Lennox needing so much care, Elyssa is not able to go back to work. This means Elyssa and Matt are now down one income.
Even under the most difficult of circumstances, we always know God is in control and he provides for us. He also uses the body of Christ to help lift one another up. It’s in these moments we get to be the hands and feet of Jesus and extend the love of the Father to those around us.
Any donation is a major blessing and eases an incredible burden for this family.
Lenox will be coming home with several necessary life-preserving measures that will also be quite costly.
We can only imagine as parents what it’s like to have to walk away from your child every day; leaving them in a hospital when every instinct tells you they need you and should be home with you.
We are trying to relieve some of the stress that comes from such a huge financial burden. Our goal is to allow this sweet family to focus on getting Lenox healthy and home to be with his brother and sisters.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the prayers and any financial blessings you extend to the Robinson family.
