Baby Lennon McVey's Heart Condition

Hi everyone,
First of all, thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this story of our sweet little niece Lennon. She has spent such a short time on earth yet has endured many challenges and struggles since her birth on February 25th, 2019.
Lennon was born with a congenital heart defect called VSD (ventricular septal defect) which is a hole that’s separating the two lower chambers of her heart. Her case started off a moderate-severe and is now considered severe. It causes higher pressure in the heart & reduces oxygenated blood to the body. She also has PS (pulmonary stenosis)which makes it difficult for blood to flow from the right ventricle to the lungs. As a result, Lennon must get open heart surgery in Victoria, BC to hopefully correct her heart defects. Currently, she is under the watchful eye of her many doctors and family in hopes that she will gain enough weight before her surgery (doctors want her to reach 12lbs or 3 months of age). Fortunately, the costs for flight and hotel is covered by Variety Children’s Heart Center for Lennon and her parents Matt McVey and Mallory Wilson.
Matt, Mal, older brother Levi and Lennon have lived in Warren, Manitoba for the past 3 years. Matt is self-employed and works in the carpentry industry. The funds raised for them will be used for all the time off Matt has to take for appointments, hospital stays and Lennon’s recovery.
We thank each and everyone of you for your thoughts and support for the McVey family. Anything you can contribute, no matter the size will get us closer to the goal. We know Matt and Mal are going to be beyond greatful for everyone’s generosity but more importantly the positive vibes and prayers for their baby girl, Lennon ❤️
Cheers,
Matt & Mal’s Family and Friends
