Baby Leilani's Fight For Life
Donation protected
Thanks for taking the time! I set up this account to help one of our Chicken Salad Chick Managers, Ashely Layne, who's granddaughter is fighting for her life!
Leilani Reign was born on April 8th in Pensacola, she weighed 5lbs, 12oz. and seemed to be perfectly healthy in her first few moments. About an hour after she was born she began struggling to breathe and was rushed into the NICU. Within a few hours they had to life flight her to Gainesville to be admitted to Shand's Children's Hospital for treatment. Her diagnosis is congenital heart failure, they have been told she requires open heart surgery and chance of survival is 60%. Unfortunately, Leilani has gotten worse since arriving at Shand's, she has had multiple seizures and has some bleeding on her brain. She is not strong enough for surgery. We are all praying that she can fight to be strong enough to have this surgery. It's understandable that Leilani's family is in crisis right now as they navigate the next steps. Ashley, Leilani's Nana and Leilani's Mommy Aaliyah also need our prayers and support during this time. Aaliyah has been accepted at the Ronald McDonald house in Gainesville but can't go there until later this week. This is not something they were prepared to face but they are all faithful that Leilani will pull through this. Ashley has had to pay for hotel and flights up to this point but missing work and having these expenses piling up is the reality she is facing. It is important that Aaliyah not have to face each day alone, she is far from home and everyone is working hard to coordinate support for her there.
Please help by sharing and if you can spare any amount it will go towards travel expenses as well as meals for Aaliyah and family while in Gainesville.
