Baby Kylan was born on June 2, 2022. This joyous moment quickly became one of the most frightening for the family: parents Chad and Kerry and big sister Ashtyn. As the pediatrician did a routine check on him, a heart murmur was heard. Kylan was immediately taken to the NICU for further evaluation and then transferred by ambulance to another hospital with a NICU that specializes in heart babies. There, he was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, also known as HLHS. With this critical Congenital Heart Disease, Kylan had his first open-heart surgery at just 5 days old. Kylan's surgery was very successful and he recovered well. Everyday is a blessing as he continues to get stronger, gain weight and grow. But moving forward this family still has a long journey ahead. Kylan will need a series of heart surgeries, his 2nd is nearing close, being on Sept 14th. Even with this series of surgeries, Kylan still could need a heart transplant in the future.

In the meantime, we are hoping to raise money for the Isacson family to help relieve any extra stress during this time. Prayers and warm wishes are asked to be continued but also monetary donations would be beyond appreciated and helpful. Donations will be put towards medical bills, medications, hospital stays, gas for constant travel to the hospital and the many other tremendous expenses they continue to occur as they care for sweet Kylan.
