Hi friends, family, and kind strangers —
I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend, who is currently facing one of the most difficult and emotional chapters of her life.
She recently gave birth to her sweet baby at just 25 weeks. This little fighter has already shown incredible strength but is now preparing for heart surgery and will be transferred to Primary Children’s Hospital, far from home, to receive the specialized care they need.
Life has brought this family to the NICU once again—an experience no parent should ever have to repeat. After previously losing their first baby in the NICU, they are now facing the unimaginable again. The weight of that grief, fear, and hope is impossible to put into words.
With the hospital being hours away, Mom will be stepping away from work to be by her baby’s side full-time. They also have a 4-year-old at home, which means they’ll be commuting often — balancing time between the NICU and home life as best they can.
They are doing everything in their power to stay strong and present for both of their children, but the financial strain is real — from travel costs to lost income, meals, lodging, and ongoing medical expenses.
If you feel pulled to support them during this time, please know that any amount helps, and every single donation is felt deeply and with so much gratitude. If you’re not in a place to give, a share means the world too.
Thank you so much for keeping this beautiful family in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s rally around them and remind them they’re not alone.
With love and endless thanks,
Bailey!
