Baby Korra’s Vet Expenses
Donation protected
Around two years ago I lost my childhood dog of thirteen years. I felt empty for the coming years after that, and for the past five to six months I have been wanting a puppy so bad to love and cherish. That’s when Korra fell into my lap. She was listed on Craigslist because her parents were being evacuated due to the fires and could no longer keep her.
That night, I took her home and had no idea the impact she would make on me. She is kind, playful, sweet, daring and so much more. She has taught me to love fiercely and remember to let your loved ones know how much they mean to you, because you never know how long you have with them.
Korra started going downhill a week after we brought her home. We went to the emergency vet and they diagnosed her with Parvo, nicknamed “The Puppy Killer.” She must have gotten it before she was given to us. This has been the toughest night of me and my partners life. We learned that the vet bills will be- at the lowest- $3,000. But can grow up to $7,000 or even more if she needs to be held for the two week period. We want to do everything we can to help this little one who hasn’t even began to live. This is so unfair, she’s just a little life who we fell head over heels in love with. Unfortunately, the pandemic has taken so much money from my partner and I, and we are absolutely not able to pay the vet bills required to make her healthy. That’s why we are here, because I hope Korra touches your heart as well. I am trying not to cry while typing this, but this is so so hard for me. She is my baby, and I want her to be healthy again so she can come home. Any little bit helps, thank you so much.
