Baby Kiano can live! You can help him by giving
“Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.” Hank Rosso
Eight weeks old Kiano Chance Jr was born in Jamaica on July 15, 2022. The first child for his parents who are young people from humble circumstances with very little resources to care for a sick child.
Since birth, baby Kiano has been fighting to stay alive. He has been experiencing respiratory distress. Admitted in the Mandeville Hospital for over two weeks, each day brings uncertainty as his condition exacerbates.
While Jamaica is a beautiful country and has some of the best doctors caring for patients, its public health system is characterized by insufficient resources, overcrowding and conditions that are less than desirable for a child as sick as Kiano.
Kiano has since been diagnosed with a heart condition that will require surgery. Although he is scheduled for more checkups at the Bustamante Children Hospital in Kingston Jamaica to ascertain the extent of his illness, he is very ill. The delay for a date to facilitate testing is testimony to an overwhelmed medical system that cannot guarantee baby Kiano quality of life.
Significant efforts are being made to secure health care to include heart surgery for baby Kiano in the United States of America. The US has proven to be a place of choice for first world medical care. Kiano's fight has earned him a place at a better life. A child with a will to live deserves your benevolence.
The family and friends of baby Kiano is seeking a chance to live with your help.
Your contribution will go towards the cost associated with his and his parents trip to the US as well as medical care at a Hospital in Florida.
We have been blessed with the interest and love from so many who are concerned about baby Kiano's condition however, your financial contribution is what will make these efforts worthwhile.
Though he cannot yet speak let us be his voice. In the absence of his first few steps let us walk for him. Give him the future those who love him dream of for him. Give him a story to tell for years to come.
What better lesson to teach a child than the strength of humanity. Please help us to reach our goal of $30,000 USD.
