Our beautiful baby boy, Kaden Kai Roldan, came into the world on January 13, 2022, and has been the light of our life ever since. He first started having seizures five months into his life, and when we took him to the hospital for treatment, we were told they were due to kidney failure. He needed several blood transfusions and dialysis. Finally, the doctors were able to diagnose him with Atypical HUS (Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome), which is a rare condition that progressively attacks the body’s organs and can lead to stroke, heart attack, and kidney failure. After just two short months of being in stable condition, Kaden was taken back to the hospital and put on dialysis again on July 25th. Two days later, his heart stopped 3 times, and the medical team had to hook him up to machines to provide oxygen to his body. A CT scan revealed that he had an inoperable blood clot in his brain, which left us devastated. The next afternoon, Kaden left this world, held by his mother, Maria, and surrounded by his loving family. He felt no pain.
