Baby Josephine's surgery journey
Donation protected
Asking for help is hard.
Our newborn baby Josephine (born 3/4/22) cannot open her eyes due to a few different facial defects. We are traveling to Boston Children's Hospital tomorrow for a surgical consult, as she needs surgery to be able to open her eyes, and begin to see. This news comes on the heels of a hard few months for our family- Seth (Dad) was recently hospitalized twice for blood clots/pulmonary emboli. He also owns his own construction business, so time off is not paid. Olivia (Mom) works per diem, and therefore is currently on unpaid maternity leave. We also have a high deductible insurance plan. We are going to have lots of trips back and forth to Boston in the next few months for surgery and follow up, and this requires travel/gas, hotel, meals, time off of work, and finding childcare for Josie's big sister Eloise. We know that recent years have not been kind to most people, but if you are able, any donations will go directly towards helping our family stay afloat during this difficult time.
