Dear family and friends,
I am raising money to help with the unexpected early arrival of my baby boy John Jr aka JJ. I was only 22 weeks pregnant when my water broke and was immediately admitted to the hospital and put on strict bed rest. I had no complications prior to my water breaking so the reason is still unknown. The goal was to stay pregnant as long as possible so the chances of him surviving would be greater. I was able to hold on for another 2 weeks but on Sunday March 10, 2019 my baby boy arrived, 4 months early by emergency c section. He was only 1lb 6oz. I was told by many doctors of all the risks of going forward with the pregnancy but my faith was strong and I knew in my heart that my baby boy belonged here. He was the gift that I’ve been waiting for my entire life. I knew that the road ahead would be tough but I was willing to do whatever it took to make sure he grew healthy and strong. We have now been in the NICU for 120 days and counting. He has come a long way but still has a ways to go, with his heart and lungs being the main focus. My baby is a true fighter and even on the days when I’m feeling overwhelmed and just worried about every little thing, he gives me this look that to me, says “mommy everything will be ok”. I must admit, he is a lot stronger than me. After being poked & pricked, all the tubes, machines, monitors, and medications, he has proven that! And he inspires me everyday. If anyone would like to make a donation so that I can time off to care for him when he comes home and to help with the heavy medical expenses It would be greatly appreciated! ❤️❤️
