My wife Rebeca and I are missionaries, serving in El Salvador, and we need your help with our pregnancy and the birth of our second daughter, Daniela!
Baby Daniela is an answer to prayer! In April of last year we started praying for a second baby - and within only a few weeks time we were pregnant with Daniela!
We were so excited to see how God had answered us yet again! And as the months have passed by and Daniela has continued to grow, our family of three has been preparing for her arrival!
Now, with Rebeca's due date of March 3rd quickly approaching, we need to raise the money needed to pay for her birth!
Because we live on a very tight budget - and do not have access to health insurance - we will be paying for our birth with cash. Thankfully this is very common here in El Salvdor, and much more afordable than in the US.
The price for a normal non-cesarian birth in El Salvador costs between $1,600-$1,900 (depending on the use of medications, etc), and includes hospital fees and doctor's fees. A cesarian birth ranges from $2,400-$3,000 - though it can increase further due to unforeseen complications.
$3,000 is a lot of money for us, but praise God that although we do not have insurance, the cost of having a baby in El Salvador is nothing compared to medical expenses in the US, and still very doable with your help!
We are asking for help to raise $3,000 to be able to pay for a normal birth, but also be prepared for anything unexpected, should the need arise at the last minute for an emergency cesarian section.
We are praying, and expect that the birth should go well without complications - and hope to keep you all informed throughout the process. If the birth goes well and without need of a cesarian, we will put the remaining money into a savings account for future emergencies, as well as ministry expenses, and charity.
We thank you for your prayers and participation in making this happen, and your loving interest in our family! We know that God will provide for baby Daniela, and will continue to answer many more prayers - both yours and ours!
God bless you, from El Salvador, wherever you may be!
