Update on Baby James Day. He has been a sick little boy. He was admitted into the hospital last Sunday struggling to breathe. He had pneumonia and a lung infection. He is better from that but struggling to come off the high flow.
They are flying him to Orlando today. He is at the point that he needs his heart fixed. When he was born he had a heart defect which caused his lung issues. They had to wait to do the heart surgery until he was big enough to handle the surgery. The wall between his upper and lower chambers of his heart is missing. They have to go in and build that wall. (Not sure of the medical term) His red blood and blue blood mixes which causes his lung conditions.
Skyler and Juliana are heading to Orlando today along with their two girls Hazel and Eloise, to be with our sweet James. Skyler will be out of work to be there for his family. Much prayer is needed.
I re-activated the Go Fund me account in case you would like to help with the expense of caring for Baby James. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

  • Update 6/24/25: After talking with doctors this morning there is a big possibility that he will be in the NICU until he can have his heart surgery. They are wanting to wait until he is 4 months old. This will give him time to get stronger. He remains on oxygen and is still feed by a feeding tube. Mom and Dad continue to travel back and forth to Panama City to see him and spend time with him. When James is able to have surgery they will travel to Orlando for his surgery and will be there at least 10 days. Your support has been amazing. We thank you so much for all your have done for the Day family. We do ask you to continue to pray for James and his mom and dad in the months to come.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for your support for our precious grandson, James Clay Day, who was born on June 3rd and is currently in the NICU fighting several serious health challenges.

Baby James was born with Down syndrome, and he also has a hole in his heart (AVSD) and shortly after birth, doctors discovered that James is battling pulmonary hypertension. These complications have made his first days of life incredibly difficult — but this little fellow is a fighter.

James has two big sisters at home who can’t wait to meet him, hold him, and bring him into their joyful world. Right now, they’re waiting patiently for the day their baby brother is strong enough to come home.

As you can imagine, the emotional and financial strain on James’s parents, Skyler and Juliana (Pullam) Day, is immense. Between the medical bills, time off work, and the daily trips to and from the hospital, the expenses are adding up quickly. We are trusting God through every step of this journey and know that we are not walking alone — your prayers and support mean more than words can say.

We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden so James’s parents can focus on what matters most: being there for their son and helping him heal.

If you’re able, please consider donating — no amount is too small. And whether or not you can give, we ask that you keep James in your prayers and share this page with others who may be able to help.

Thank you for being part of Baby James’s story. Your prayers and support are carrying him — and all of us — through this incredibly difficult time.

With love, prayer, and hope,
Tammy Pullam (Gigi)
