If you dont believe in miracles, perhaps you've forgotten you are one!
On December 2nd, 2016 JaidaLynn Thacker joined her family way too early due to complications with Eclampsia. Her and Momma were in some serious danger, life flight was called in but due to the snow storms at that time, the lifeflight crew transported them by ground the hour journey to make sure her 1.7lb
body full of fight joined us, and Momma would be here to raise her! Its been a couple very
long months for the Thacker family, but this sweet precious princess has proven she is here to fight and is now a whopping 3lbs 14oz and proving to be a miracle day after day with her progress. She has chronic lung disease that is an ongoing struggle as her lungs were just not quiet ready. She will struggle with that for a lot of her life but is otherwise hitting all the goals to be able to go home, but still has another couple months in the NICU. The Thacker family lives in Oakley, UT and baby Jaida is in SLC. The 1 hour commute each way sometimes multiple times a day is taking its toll on the family and the funds. Sara worked full time and carried the family's health insurance through her employer. This new chapter in her life has caused the need for her to now be home as they also have a 3 year old boy Tristan who needs Mom and Dads attention as well. The medical bills are beginning to flow in and they are trying to stay as positive as they can in accepting the cards dealt. They are praying Jaida will get to come home in the next couple months but with her will come a lot more medical care, travelling into the City for appointments and in home Oxygen and assisted care. I know it takes a village to carry each other through these trials in life and if you know the Thackers, they have never turned a shoulder to the chance to serve their neighbors, family and even complete strangers. I have spent some time with them in their home and even with their current situation, Rian was leaving the house after a full day of working in the snow after receiving a call to help a elderly lady get her vehicle unstuck, and Sara is on the computer in the middle of the night, getting primary music time ready and printing games for the kids to play, all while planning the next day of travels back and forth to the City and packing water and snacks in the car to carry them through the day. I know a lot of us wish we could just sweep up every bill and pay it for them, but we arent all in a position to do so. If you find it appropriate to make a donation to help relieve the stacking bills, they will appreciate it and forever be grateful.
