Baby Jackson Francis Del Castillo

Hi my name is Melissa and I’m fundraising to help my brother and sister in law Jesica raise money for their new baby Jackson .

Jackson Francis Del Castillo made his worldly debut on May 9th at 8:11am weighing 6lbs 6oz and 22” in length.

 

Shortly after birth, Jackson was taken to the NICU due to medical complications. We were later informed that he had a “double bubble” also known as Duodenal Atresia, an intestinal development disorder that required immediate surgery. Unfortunately, the hospital was not equipped for the surgery, so he was immediately tranferred to a children’s hospital. Doctors were successfully able to attach his small intestine to the large intestine. He has since been resting, but has a long road ahead for his recovery. The doctors estimate that it will be at least 3-4 weeks before he will leave the NICU as he has several milestones that he will need to meet. For now, they are monitoring his progress from the surgery and will start trying to feed him regularly about one week after the surgery. We are hopeful that he will be out soon.

 

As most medical procedures of this nature are complicated and costly, there is a significant financial burden that we are currently encountering. We would greatly appreciate any help that you can offer so that Jackson can be properly taken care of.
