Baby Iyla's memorial fundraiser

On December 27, 2023, my niece, Jamaina, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Iyla. Due to complications that occurred during birth, baby Iyla was transferred to the Victoria General Hospital, where she was placed on life support. After an 11-day battle, on January 6, 2024, baby Iyla said good-bye to us and joined her grandmothers in Heaven.

Jamaina, her partner Brooks, and son Lochlan are left grieving this unthinkable loss. Those of you who know their family know how kind and thoughtful they are and that they would do anything for others in need.

I have created this GoFundMePage to raise funds for baby Iyla’s memorial service. We want to honour Iyla’s memory by giving her the memorial she deserves. Though her life was brief, she left an everlasting impact on our hearts.

Any surplus funds collected will go towards supporting Iyla's parents as they take the necessary time to grieve and cope with this profound tragedy.
