Hi, my name is Sydni. Melanee is my baby sister. After thanksgiving dinner Mel went into labor and delivery after concerns that her baby wasn’t moving as much and they confirmed that she wasn’t moving as much as they’d like but she was indeed in labor. Melanee hit some hiccups during Labor when her water broke and they found meconium in her water. During the process baby Ivees heart rate had dropped dangerously low without stabilizing forcing them to preform an emergency C-section, melanee was put under full sedation and didn’t wake up for a few hours. Baby Ivee was immediately put onto a breathing machine and taken to NICU where it was immediately determined she would be taken by helicopter to Loma Linda. Melanee was able to see her baby for 10 minutes on her way to the helicopter. Ian, baby’s dad, and Sarah, baby’s grandma, are with Ivee in Loma Linda staying at Ronald McDonald house waiting for melanee to be discharged.

Ivee after being admitted has been undergoing lots of tests as well as brain cooling to figure out what’s going on and what caused her to go into distress. They found that she is having seizures and that she will be spending the next few weeks in Loma Linda NICU.

Melanee and Ian are both amazing and need our help. They are young parents and Ian will need to stay out of work to be able to focus on helping get Ivee home healthy. This will help with Transportation. Food and lodging while baby Ivee gets all the help she needs until she is ready to come home ❤️
