Baby Irvine's Heart surgery
Donation protected
This gofundme page is to help Trevor and Olivia Irvine while they navigate mounting medical costs incurred to help keep their new born baby, Owen, alive. We are grateful for modern medicine, but unfortunately it comes at a high price, especially, for a family with the bread winner in medical training. Trevor has a future full of serving others with his medical knowledge, but right now he and his family need our help. They could really use our love and support. If you can't donate, please share this story. Thank you.
From the Irvine's post:
HEART FAILURE. Words we never could have imagined hearing about our sweet little baby who came home perfectly healthy from the hospital.
A little over a week ago we took Owen to the ER when he was 10 days old. We had been up all night trying to get him to eat, but he wouldn't. After they heard a heart murmur and got an echo done, we were told he was in heart failure and needed to be flown to a Denver for immediate surgery. He was diagnosed with a coarctation of his aorta. We took an ambulance to the airport, we were life flighted to the Denver airport, and then took an ambulance to Children's Hospital. Once there we had another echo done and he was prepped for surgery. Since surgery he has made amazing progress and was released from the hospital on Tuesday. He had his first follow up today and he is doing well. He still has a long way to go as he recovers at home, but we are so happy to be taking him home and to be reunited as a family.
