My name is Lauren Navarre and this is not about me. I am an instructional coach in Aldine ISD and I have six teachers that I work closely with, so closely in fact, that these six teachers have become my family. This GoFundMe is for a member of my family.
De'Lana Williams is one of the best people I know. She is selfless, she is a teacher to her core, she is an amazing friend, she is caring, giving, soft-spoken, she is the teacher that yells "I love you" to her kids each day that they walk out of her classroom, she is the last teacher at school most days, she is the teacher I assigned a bedtime to because she works so hard for her kids.
De'Lana Williams is a second year teacher, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a girlfriend, a mother to a beautiful baby boy - Imani Solomon Parker - who was born on November 29th, 2018 and passed away December 1st, 2018.
De'Lana and her boyfriend, Shaun Parker, have been thrust into an impossible situation with impossible decisions to be made. New parents do not expect to plan a funeral instead of a life for their child.
It is my hope that this GoFundMe will ease some of the financial burden that is now a reality for De'Lana and Shaun during this emotional time. Anything you are able and willing to give is so appreciated and will go straight to paying for Imani's funeral early next week.
If a monetary donation is not possible, I know that De'Lana and Shaun welcome all of the prayers, thoughts, and support they can get during this difficult time.
