Baby House for ISAC Kids

This is Angella Jacquiline, known by all her friends as Jackie. Jackie is the founder and director of Faith Women Ministry and ISAC Kids.

Faith Women Ministry was founded in 2009 and had 50 women participating. Jackie’s goal in this ministry was to first and foremost introduce these women to Jesus as their Lord and Savior. But her desire to minister to them did not stop there…it was just the beginning. Jackie’s desire was not just to feed these women spiritually but to help them provide for themselves and their families physically. God blessed so many of our projects including wells, farming, selling of beads and crafts, the grandma houses, and many other things.

What started with 50 women barely being able to feed themselves has now turned into 1085 women and 960 children in ISAC Kids. Jackie pairs up orphans with grandmas; the women then gather together and build them a brick house to live in and provide a cow and a goat and chickens for them to be able to care for their new little family. Our motto is, “A helping hand not a hand out. “

Then there are the babies. Jackie has 16 children and teens and 54 babies under a year old that she has taken into her home. There is never a baby that she turns away. These are children, whose mothers are often young girls that have been raped, that are dropped off their baby at Jackie’s doorstep. Some of these babies are from mothers that died in childbirth, some born in latrines, and some thrown away in trash bags. Every one of these babies is loved and treated as her own child.

In August of this year, Jackie was in a terrible accident. She had three fractures including a compound fracture of her ankle. While she was in the hospital, in the middle of the night, her house was firebombed. Since Jackie was in the hospital, most of the children had been sent to live with Jackie’s family members and Faith Women's grandmas so there were only about 10 of the older children staying at the house. They all got out safely because it happened at 3:00 AM, which is when they are all awake for prayer. But Jackie’s house and all the contents burned! We are so grateful that no lives were lost, but now we need a home for Jackie and her kids.

Before the fire, we had acquired a piece of property and made plans to build a baby house. Due to the fire, we now need to move forward with that plan sooner than expected.

If you feel led to donate to this project, no gift is too small. We serve a great God and we are trusting that He will provide what we need to get Jackie, her kids, and all those babies back into a house together.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and your prayers.
