Baby Harrison's Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Hi, my name’s Macy Sanchez and I’m reaching out to ask for much-needed financial support for my friend’s 5-month-old son Harrison who needs surgery on his little heart. On August 18th, 2023 Harrison was rushed to CHOC (Children’s Hospital Orange County) with his oxygen level around 30%. Doctors discovered a previously undiagnosed heart condition, Tetralogy of Fallot, which requires emergency open heart surgery.

Harrison’s parents, Jeff and Kacie are a story of resilience, faith, and overcoming hardship. Jeff is a full-time police officer and former K-9 handler. In September 2021 his K-9 companion, Jarvis, was diagnosed with and succumbed to cancer a few days after the birth of their firstborn, Lincoln.

Soon after, in October 2021, Jeff fell critically ill with COVID-19 and was hospitalized. Jeff remained severely ill until February, leaving Kacie to take care of their newborn and her ailing husband. During this time, Jeff depleted all of his paid leave banks at work.
In March 2023 Jeff and Kacie were back on their feet and welcoming their second baby boy, Harrison. Harrison is a happy baby who loves to roll around, babble and stare at his big brother. He is now fighting for his young life. Doctors still don’t know the extent of the damage done to his body from the lack of oxygen. But this surgery will save his life.

The money raised will go directly toward Harrison’s current and future medical expenses and the lost wages Jeff incurs due to caring for Harrison.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your donations. Jeff and Kacie are good people… they’re the kind of family who drove out on Christmas to help me change a flat tire. Please help us fundraise for Harrison’s heart surgery, any amount helps. If you can’t provide financial support, CHOC always needs blood donors in order to continue to provide the amazing life saving medical care they give our children.
