We've all been waiting impatiently for Baby Haley's arrival, but she doesn't need to come this quickly.

After a routine visit with her high-risk doctor yesterday, Lyndsi's specialist found that Baby Haley, despite having good vitals, wasn't growing sufficiently anymore. She was suffering from a rare condition called Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR). At this stage, a baby should weigh about two pounds and Baby Haley is barely one pound. Chris and Lyndsi were instructed by the specialist to go straight to the hospital nextdoor to the medical offices there in Nashville, TN, an hour away from home.

After some careful monitoring and testing, Chris and Lyndsi will find out which course of action needs to be taken, especially after Haley's heartrate dipped late last night. These can range from intravenous medications to delivering Haley via emergency C-section.

Ideally, the doctors are striving to keep Haley happy inside Lyndsi's belly for up to four weeks in the hospital, because each day Haley stays out is three days less she'd need to stay in the NICU.

Lyndsi's blood pressure spiked to a very concerning rate of 247/189 after hearing all the news. The doctors gave her body a little time to allow it to come down on its own, but ultimately needed to bring it down with magnesium-sulfate. They're now watching for signs of Pre-Eclampsia in Lyndsi on top of Haley's growth restrictions.

Unfortunately, Lyndsi's six weeks of maternity leave had to begin yesterday and with more than two months left before her actual due date, this creates a huge financial burden for Chris and Lyndsi's new family.

Any amount that you can generously donate to this loving family would go toward these medical expenses, allow Chris to spend time away from work to be there for his family during this crisis, and allow Lyndsi and Chris time to bond with their new baby in the NICU and later at home.
