Meet baby Hailey Grace Burkholder, born September 9 to Justin and Crystal Burkholder. Before she was born, she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. She is in the NICU in St. Louis, and plans are for surgery on Tuesday, September 16, when she will be 1 week old. Surgery will be open-heart surgery; they will stop her heart and put it on bypass. Then they will go in and use material to connect her right outflow tract to the lungs.

Surgery will take all day on Tuesday, and then recovery will be at least 10 days. The total hospital stay will be about a month.
