6/16 Update: Amanda has the fetal surgery tomorrow! The doctor has told her after, her only job is to rest and recoup til baby arrives (hopefully in September) modern medicine is incredible and we hope for steady hands through the surgery. All donations help to ease their financial anxiety as Amanda is self employed and will be off til at least October. 

6/13 Update: Amanda and baby girl are scheduled for surgery on Friday. 
They will be taking baby girl out, doing a spinal repair to help fix her spine and correct spinal fluid from leaking. It will help reverse her chiari malformation, and potentially have her have a better outcome with mobility and bladder function. Then, baby will be put back in.

On June 8, Amanda and Tim’s baby girl was given a diagnosis of Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida and Chiari Malformation II- a congenital Neuro tube birth defect. Amanda and baby will be in amazing hands at the Cleveland Clinic, but they have a long, hard road ahead.

 

The outpouring of love and support has been huge and many have asked what they can do to help make things “easier”.

 

Due to the amount of time that Amanda and Tim will need to be off work for appointments at Cleveland Clinic (which is about two hours away from their home), potential fetal surgery, and after baby girl is born, we’ve put together a GFM in hopes to help their financial burden that will come with the time off for medical leave and being self-employed.
