I am setting this page up for my cousin Kevin, and his wife Kath to help with the costs of her hospitalization and surgery for baby Kiah Lacson.

Update and Story from Cousin Kevin in Manila:

We're blessed with our second child, and the first girl in the family, a courageous and cute little baby.

On her 7th month inside her mommy's tummy, we discovered via a Congenital Scan that there was fluid in her brain (Ventriculomegaly) and the fluid accumulation has caused her skull (Encephalocele). The doctors, however, explained that we need to wait for the baby to be delivered before taking the next steps.

Our girl was delivered via C-Section on

1 December and we were thrilled to hear her cry so loud and happy to learn that our little warrior is fighting and determined to live.

Upon initial assessment, they also found out that she has clubbing on both her hands and feet, which was not seen during the ultrasound. We were utterly devastated to see our baby girl with another condition and still unsure of what the doctors will discover as performed further tests.

Currently, our little Kiah is in the NICU but her medical expenses to date are unimaginable. We were also informed that she needs surgery for her Encephalocele but even with successful surgery, we have a very long road ahead.

The medical burden is weighing heavy on a lot of our decisions right now. If my friends and family can help a little, it will go a long way to making sure that my baby has every chance of survival and the best quality of life possible
