Baby Girl is Getting a Pacemaker
Donation protected
At 20 weeks along in our pregnancy we learned that our daughter has a rare heart condition called Complete Congenital Heart Block. The simplest way to describe this condition is that the atria doesn't communicate with the ventricles so her heart beats very differently. She has blown her cardio team away with how well she has done up to this point but the time has officially come for baby girl to have surgery.
After her most recent heart monitor, a regular occurrence for gathering data, her heart rate averaged 48 BPM and she will be getting pacemaker surgery in a few weeks. Even with insurance the out-of-pocket costs are high and we would greatly appreciate the help covering her hospital bills and other assistance she has needed thus far (regular monitoring, physical therapy, feeding therapy) and in the future.
