Baby Giddens Heart Journey

Hi everybody! My name is Morgan Conway and I am creating this GoFundMe for the Giddens family. Kelsey and Eddie Giddens are wonderful parents of a wild little boy named Kolton and are currently expecting their second baby boy, Hudson. Kelsey had a normal pregnancy up until a couple of weeks ago at a standard OB checkup, they discovered that baby Hudson has a rare heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Kelsey will be transferring all OB treatment to Vanderbilt Hospital and will deliver there in March 2024. Hudson will have to have an immediate heart surgery once he is born and several after in the months and years to come. These are very expensive surgeries and there will be a lot of expenses while traveling to and from Nashville while also raising their other son, Kolton. They also will be required to provide co pays at every appointment leading up to the due date. This is a big financial burden on their family and I am asking the community to rally around them and take some of this weight off. We serve a Mighty God and I am believing that He will provide for this beautiful family!

UPDATE 6/21/24

Hello, everyone! I thought I would take this time to update everyone on Mr. Hudson! First of all, thank you to everyone for the donations, prayers, meals, and well wishes. Kelsey and Eddie are so grateful for the outpouring of love from the community. God is still working miracles in this family’s live’s and despite a lot of setbacks and hard decisions, Kelsey, Eddie, and Kolton are still full of faith and believing that God will guide them through this hard time. Hudson is currently in the process of being released from Vanderbilt and will be life flighted to a hospital up North over 15 hours away forcing Kelsey and Eddie to make the hard decision to split their family up in order to save Hudson’s life.

Hudson will have a new team of doctors and a new plan for care. We are praying that this will be the start of his steps to getting his other operations and care to give him a perfectly healthy heart! Kelsey will be staying with Hudson while Eddie takes care of Kolton back home in Georgia. They will not be able to travel back and forth as often as they have been able to while Hudson was in Nashville so please be in prayer for that. Kelsey will be in temporary housing up there until they are able to get her into a “Ronald McDonald” type housing and that waiting list is VERY long. Please pray that God will provide them with finances to help fund the temp housing for Kelsey.
