I am writing you with a heavy heart. In this moment our little family is facing a crisis. By way of this letter we are reaching out to our friends, family and to the body of Christ.
In July of 2017 I (Jonny) made a decision to take a leap of faith, going part time in outreach ministry to our city to share the gospel on the streets 3 days a week, trusting God to provide for our needs.
We had to let go of several things, health insurance was one of them, and we simply could not afford it at that time. I spent week after week meeting with pastors, assisting local churches in outreach and evangelism. Going to high schools, Middle schools and college campuses passing out 1,000s of gospel tracts and bibles and one on one witnessing.
It was wonderful to reach my city on a constant basis, giving myself to the great commission and to the work of the evangelist.
Fast forward to now, we have our 2nd baby on the way, due in December 2019.
We we’re certain at the time of the announcement we would be able to apply for “Mom Care” through Medicaid….. We were rejected for this financial assistance.
We begin to exhaust all other viable options, such as Obama care, Christian Health insurance, Care Credit and any other options we could find. Sadly, Rejection after rejection is all we found.
The anxiety and stress level grew as we tried yet another option and ran into another rejection.
Praying through this and trusting God’s faithfulness is all we have left. We have never been in this type of predicament.
We are in desperate need of your prayers at this time. We know this is in His hands and we are totally trusting.
At the time of writing to you, I sit here praying for the answer.
We wanted to make this need known to people who are in our lives and those who already pray for us on a normal basis.
