Family, Friends and All who love and know Ashley, Carlos & Baby Emmy:
A few weeks ago our Great-Niece Baby Emmy who is 6 months old this month was diagnosed with Craniosynostosis.
Craniosynostosis is a birth defect in which the bones in a baby's skull join together too early. This happens before the baby's brain is fully formed. As the baby's brain grows, the skull can become more misshapen. The spaces between a typical baby's skull bones are filled with flexible material and called sutures.
Baby Emmy is our Niece & Nephew's first child, first time being parents and as you can imagine how scary this is for all of them. Emmy will be having surgery June 29th and as difficult as this is for them it is a very necessary surgery.
Due to the Covid and hospital policy, it will only allow one parent at a time through the process, however we will all be there outside the hospital supporting them through this long surgical procedure to give both of them the support they will need. Our support will not stop there, we will all be with them throughout this journey in every way we can.
Due to this unfortunate situation Ashley & Carlos will have a long road ahead of them as will Baby Emmy. They will lose time from work and the medical bills will obviously be astronomical. It would be a blessing to know that they both can care for Baby Emmy and not have to worry too much about the financial difficulties this may cause.
First and Foremost we ask for many prayers and to pray for the Doctors and Surgical Team that will be handling Baby Emmy's surgery. If it is at all possible and your able to help out that would be such a blessing. Any amount will do and we know that it's a difficult time for a lot of folks due to the Covid and we truly understand.
We are all so Grateful and Thankful for all of you and Thank you in Advance for all the prayers and well wishes for baby girl. ♥
