Baby Ellis’s Battle with Cancer

Hi, my name is Angele and I am starting this fundraiser to help our friends and neighbours survive the unimaginable. Earlier this week, Andrew and Tammy-Lynn got the news no parent should ever hear. Their 18 month old son Ellis has cancer. Because of his treatments, his young sister, along with mom and dad will be staying in Toronto for a few months making it impossible to fulfill life’s obligations other than those of their son. No one should have to worry about finances during such a terrifying time. I thank you in advance for your compassion, generosity and prayers. ♥️

Ellis has had his surgery to remove his left kidney along with the tumour and lymph nodes and is healing well. They are keeping a close eye on his levels now that he only has one kidney. They will be removing the epidural tomorrow and hopefully the catheter as well. He is getting out of bed a little bit, but still unable to sit up unassisted. His sister is taking very good care of him. They are now awaiting the pathology results so they can decide on the best course of treatment. Andrew and Tammy-Lynn are still waiting to get a room at the Ronald McDonald house. Hopefully they’ll have one soon! God Bless♥️

Update* Ellis had his port inserted yesterday and received his first chemo treatment today. He is being very closely monitored by SickKids and Sudbury oncology teams The next six months will be an adventure to say the least, but we are properly supported from every angle. Again we truly appreciate all of your emotional support and prayers. He is one tough little dude...
