In the late afternoon on Tuesday, January 22nd, my beautiful, vibrant sister, Ashley, and her adorable 4-month-old baby boy, Ellis, were leaving a lunch with Ellis' grandmother when they were t-boned by a car speeding at 50 mph down PCH causing both of them to be airlifted and hospitalized for very serious injuries. 

Ashley has a cracked sternum and fractured lower vertebrae and multiple contusions all over her body.  She has been in the hospital for the last few nights and can not get in and out of bed unassisted yet. 

Ellis has a major concussion and some bleeding on his brain, he is stable and doctors are extremely optimistic, but have not cleared him to leave the ICU and are monitoring all of his vitals and his brain very closely for swelling. 

 Their accident was so severe that both the police at the scene and doctors in the trauma center have marveled at their conditions as the accident is being investigated in the same manner as a fatality because, under the conditions of the accident, that is often the outcome. That they are alive, we as a family are praising God for mercies both great and small.  

Aside from being a wonderful, loving, incredible mother to her little "chunky monkey", Ashley works as a massage therapist to provide for the housing costs and other expenses for her family. Due to the level and severity of her injuries caused by this accident, she will be unable to work for what the doctors are predicting could be several months. At this time, we as her family are reaching out to ask for your immediate help.
