Baby Ellie's NICU and Family Support
Donation protected
I'm currently in the Memorial Hospital, and I'll be here until I deliver our baby. This high-risk pregnancy has brought some serious complications, including placenta accreta (where the placenta abnormally attaches to the uterine wall, and in my case, they believe it has grown into the wall) and complete placenta previa (meaning the placenta fully covers the cervix). There is also a chance of Vasa Previa (where unprotected umbilical cord blood vessels cross the cervical opening).
Because of these risks, I will stay at the hospital until our baby arrives early on August 8th, 2025, at 33 weeks and 5 days, via a planned C-section with a hysterectomy. After birth, our little one will need to spend time in the NICU.
We will be applying to the Ronald McDonald House once she is born, but there is a waiting list, but we have been warned that with our backgrounds, we probably will not be able to be accepted.
This hospital is over an hour away from our home. This has brought a big financial strain to our family. Nathan (my fiancé) will have two weeks off from work for bonding time with our baby, Ellie, where he will only get paid a small percentage of his normal pay. Then, his whole plant (Great Dane) will be shut down for a week (August 25-August 31), so he will receive no pay for that week. We also have six other children, Zaire (11), Ireland (11), Kingsley (9), Kayden (9), Lucas (3), and Henry (1).
We are asking for help to cover the cost of lost income, bills, and NICU-related costs such as lodging, meals, and daily necessities while our baby is in critical care.
Any donation or prayer will be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to share our post. I will also post updates as soon as Ellie is born.
This fundraiser is for our baby, Ellie, who will need to spend time in the NICU after birth.
