Baby Elena’s Marcus-Gunn-Ptosis Repair

Hi everyone,

I started this fundraiser for the repair of my baby girl’s Marcus-gunn-ptosis. 

Ptosis is a droopy eyelid/s and Marcus-gunn is when the movement of the jaw causes the eye to open widely for a brief moment. In her case, marcus-gunn causes the droopy eye to open up whenever she moves her jaw. 

If not treated, it can cause astigmatism, lazy eye and other long term eye problems. Because of the asymmetrical appearance of the eyes, I know some children can bully her for it.  

She is my third child and the baby girl we have been waiting for. I have two other sons and I have never seen or heard jaw winking syndrome nor ptosis before and it really scares me. I just worry about her future and I don’t want the world to treat her any different. I just want the best treatment for my baby girl.
