PLEASE HELP! Young first-time parents, David Clifford and girlfriend Liz Urda's son, 8 month old DaVinci, was born with Meconium Aspiration, which instantly led to brain damage and seizures. The doctors believe this will result in a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy which has already caused regression in developmental milestones. His brain and skull have been affected due to the lack of brain growth. Since his discharge from the NICU weeks after being born, he has had frequent seizures and doctor's appointments in Syracuse. Currently the Neurology team is not having any luck with the anti-seizure medication and we just learned that this sweet baby is having surgery on February 13th, 2018 to remove one of many cysts from his brain that may be contributing to the seizures. DaVinci will be temporarily disabled on the right side of his body after the procedure and hopefully will regain some strength as he ages. In the near future they hope to travel to Colorado to the Aurora Children’s Hospital for another opinion but until then surgery is required to stop the constant seizures. Needless to say, this has caused great stress on Dave and Liz and their families, from frequent medical trips to Syracuse, lost wages, travel and overnight stays in the hospital and mounting medical bills, not to mention the constant worry! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all donate a little bit and at least help them by taking the financial stress away? Please donate whatever you can to help this young family and this sweet baby! THANK YOU!!!
