Baby Dante Jonathan Foster’s Funeral Fund

Donation protected
I have received so, so many phone calls from people asking what they can do for my cousin Andrea and her husband Jon at this unimaginable time and I was never able to come up with anything that could ease their pain.  Andrea is still in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital trying to recover, herself from this tragedy.  I thought that helping this young family pay for their child’s funeral would be one small way that we can ease one of their worries.

Copied from Andrea’s Facebook post:
Thank you everyone whom has tried to reach out to me. All of your love and support means the world to us. The last two days have been two of the hardest days of Jon and I’s life. The labor did not go well and I was rushed in for a last minute c-section. The baby’s heart rate plummeted and I had to have the c-section before they could even get anesthesia into me. I fell unconscious and woke up over two and a half hours later, while being stitched up, to find out that Dante Jonathan Foster was born at 1:30pm at 9lbs 4oz and 22 inches, not breathing and with no heart beat. The staff got his heart beating after 20 minutes and he was rushed to a different hospital to try cold body cooling therapy to stop the brain from being further damaged. I wasn’t permitted to go until I was considered to be in stable condition. Jon went and took pictures for me, since I never had a chance to see my baby. We tried to still be hopeful that the therapy would work, though we knew that there would be brain damage. However, we got a phone call from the hospital that Dante was in, today telling us that he was in critical condition and that we needed to go now. I was just recently considered stableized but I wasn’t able to be released right away. Jon was able to get there fast enough to be with Dante as he passed away so he wasn’t alone. Thank you to everyone who was here for us and I’m sorry to those whom couldn’t be and who I just couldn’t respond too. I just can’t handle talking to everyone right now.We are posting some of the photos that were taken when Dante was alive and fighting. There was a wonderful volunteer who came to LIJ and took photos of Dante with us after he passed. I will not be posting those, but if anyone wants them let me know. Once again, thank you everyone for all your love and support and I’m sorry if I withdraw for the next few days. We will be posting funeral arrangements as soon as we have them
