Baby Clodagh’s fight

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of a special, strong and incredible family we get to call our friends.

After experiencing the joy of finding out they were expecting baby Clodagh, they faced hearing the difficult news that she would be born with a unique heart condition having both AP window (faulty connection between the aorta and the main pulmonary artery that results in a significant left-to-right shunt) and TOF (congenital heart defect that impacts blood flow and heart function).

This leading to multiple appointments, scans, meeting with consultants and specialists between Singleton, Cardiff and Bristol hospital.

Fast forward a few most the beautiful Clodagh was born via cesarean section on Wednesday 29th January. Perfect in every way with a challenging heart, after a quick cuddle with mummy she was whisked off for scans, tests and more. Nathan and Hayley were then told that Clodagh’s heart condition is unfortunately a lot more complex than they initially anticipated due to her heart also having an interrupted valve meaning today (Monday 10th February) little Clodagh has been taken down for a full day of surgery to do a full repair of her heart.

With Nathan’s paternity leave now ended this go fund me is a plea to ask all friends, family and any kind supporters to help this beautiful family by sharing, words of encouragement and any possible donations so they do not have the added worry of finances whilst they cannot work.
