Baby Cases's Road to Recovery

Howdy Y'all! My name is Crystal, and that sweet doll, Baby Case, is my niece! I have been asked to start this GoFundMe campaign at the request of a multitude of people wanting to help out my brother and his little family with their financial burdens during this difficult time. Baby Case has been our little miracle Baby since Day 1! She's already over come so many obstacles! Case was born with Down Syndrome and a hole in her heart. Open Heart Surgery would be the fix! Doctors needed Case to gain weight and strength before they could perform the super complex surgery she needed! Case's heart condition has caused labored breathing and lack of energy her entire 2 months in this world! Baby Case lacked valves in her heart and her good and bad blood were mixing and not enough blood was getting oxygenated. She needed her surgery and needed it sooner rather than later! Yet another obstacle was the condition of her blood! Due to the Down Syndrome her blood was extremely thick and posed problems getting necessary test results as well as posing potential issues during surgery! If her heart remained in this condition it would turn into one chamber and would cause heart failure, and we'd loose our little angel! This surgery was to save this sweet pea's life! However, it did not come without it's risks! The surgery Baby Case required was very lengthy in time (which potentially could cause organ damage) her blood posed challenging (a special team just for her blood was called in from Stanford) and in the end of surgery fear of her body not being able to keep up with what had taken place due to blood pressure and cause congenital heart failure! Surgery Day came and we were backed with an army of prayer warriors! We know God has had His Hand on Case since the day she was born! We anxiously awaited every tick of the clock and every swing of that O.R. waiting room door opening. We stared into the eyes of every staff member that emerged from the back in hopes they'd be the one to deliver the good news she made it thru and was doing awesome! And five hours into surgery our prayers were answered! She made it thru and was doing awesome! The hole was much bigger than Doctor expected, but they dealt with that without any complications! They placed a temporary pace maker to help Baby Case through the first few days. Doctor said Baby Case would be in ICU about five days! The doctors and staff saved our precious angel's life! We are so thankful and grateful for their care! Baby Case's journey is a powerful testimony of God's healing touch and His Power!!! Thank you to everyone who's prayed from Day 1 and those who continue to and are praying now! Prayer is so powerful! The doctors are absolutely astounded by the rapid recovery Baby Case is experiencing! They've said "It's just craZy, we've never seen a baby recover this quickly!" This staff sees multiple open heart surgery patients a day and are flabbergasted by this miracle baby! Not only have they never seen recovery at this pace after the routine heart surgeries performed her daily, but especially after the severe complex surgery Case had just been through! Case is recovering beautifully, but this morning she has a collapsed lung (right upper segment) and is unable to take full breaths! She is our little Warrior Princess and is a fighter! She's doing well, but has a long rode to recovery ahead of her! Everyone has been so kind and generous and we are in awe of your response and willingness to help my brother and his little family through this challenging time! This money will be a huge blessing and lift the heavy burden that weighs on their shoulders being out of work while the bills are piling up! Baby Case has doctor appointments weekly out of town and will continue to do so, and will need an abundance of home care and programs once she is released to go home! These past couple months and moving forward place a huge financial burden on my brother from trying to catch up on bills from their lodging, gas, and bills from her extended stay in hospital when our princess was born! This money will help them get their medical expenses under control, pay their bills while out of work, and help provide Case with her necessities during this time! This money will be a huge breath of fresh air for my brother's little family as they continue moving forward on Baby Cases's Road to Recovery!!! Thank you all so much!
