My son Jackson Minteer and his partner Adriana Pitzer are expecting a baby girl in September !!!
While "Cami" is an active baby, kicking, turning and eager to meet the world, she has been diagnosed with a rare birth defect known as Bladder Exstrophy. This is a condition that causes the bladder to be formed outside of the baby's body and will require surgery upon birth.
Weekly and monthly appointments have already taken place for several weeks now and will continue until Mom Adriana will undergo a cesarean birth at Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh. It's expected that my granddaughter will spend several weeks at Children's Hospital before coming home to her family including big sister Carmen who is very anxious to become a sister ! Mom and Dad are currently researching a stay at the Ronald McDonald House to assist with travel.
