Baby Camden PICU RSV 2 weeks unpaid work leave

Our name is the Roberts Family. Eddie, Annie, Jack, Parker & Baby Camden. Many know us around the area as we love creating community events and helping others in our community. Early this week the scariest thing possible happened with our sweet 8 week old girl. What went from what seemed like an every day stuffy nose quickly escalated. Mom took Baby Cam to immediate care Monday morning. As soon as she was seen she was rushed to the hospital via an ambulance not being able to catch her breath, breathe, severe chest pulling & erratic respirations. We are so grateful for the quick thinking of Glen Ellyn Fire Department and Duly Immediate Care and the wonderful nurses and doctors in the PICU at Central DuPage Hospital. While hysterical I caught a picture of her on the stretcher because her breathing went from okay to gasping so quickly I couldnt believe it. We are on day four in the PICU pediatric intensive care unit. She has a G tube feeding tube because she can aspirate and choke if fed. Drinking formula seems to create more mucous so we are avoiding that. She is on a CPAP full face mask to force air in her lungs, being suctioned by a medical grade machine to try and break up all the stuff in her lungs and let her body rest. What was a stuffy nose quickly turned to RSV. We are barely pulling through these passed few days. This respiratory illness has many peaks and valleys with no sure answers. We have felt the love and prayers for Cam from all over. MANY have asked how they can help, so we created this Go Fund Me. My husband has a wonderful job and company he works for. Unfortunately this will be two weeks accumulated of unpaid leave. If you would like to contribute this will cover weeks with no pay, meals at hospital, etc. We appreciate the well wishes and prayers. Since one of us is at the hospital at all times and the other is popping in and out and taking care of the two other kids and home we figured this over a meal train would be more beneficial. Thank YOU our community for the outpouring of love!
