Baby boy micro preemie support
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Brittany McBride and my sister Courtney McBride Milner had her baby boy Carter at 26 weeks gestation on June 6, 2022, weighing just 1 lb. 8 oz. Carter is fighting for his life, and any funds donated will help ease the immediate financial worries for her and her husband Luke so the focus can be on the baby. Your positive vibes and thoughts are appreciated as well!
If you would rather donate through Venmo, my Venmo is @Brittany-McBride-9 and I would send it right to her. If you would like to send it directly to Courtney, her Venmo is @Courtnutut. We can apply Venmo, cash or check donations toward the GoFundMe goal with the amount and name (no fees deducted).
This fund will help with gas traveling to and from the hospital daily for at least a few months, lost wages and medical bills.
Courtney and her husband Luke are always helping others, whether it be babysitting, emergency plumbing work, moving/packing and taking in family needing a place to stay. He runs his own business, which was started right before covid and has itself been difficult where if he doesn’t work, he isn’t making anything. They are very deserving, so I hope we can help them during this most challenging time in their lives! Luke’s brother also passed away June 12th adding to this already difficult time (RIP Logan).
What happened: Courtney had a high-risk pregnancy due to early complications, but the baby pushed through that. She developed anemia requiring iron transfusions, was sick often and extremely tired most of her pregnancy, yet she still had a positive attitude pushing through, while still taking care of her two daughters and supporting Luke's teenage niece and nephew they have taken in. She did everything she could to keep the baby cooking! She had an excruciating labor and needed an emergency c-section due a probable umbilical vein tear and the baby’s heart rate getting so low after 18 hours in labor. He had to be resuscitated and intubated among many other things. He’s had a partially collapsed lung, pulmonary hemorrhage, burst lung capillaries and a large PDA (hole in his heart) where they have to wait and see what happens.
