As most of you now know, Lauren and Tyler welcomed their third baby into this world on April 25, 2025. Unfortunately, baby Beckett has had to have some additional medical support since being born. Shortly after birth, Beckett was found to have a condition called laryngomalacia (defect that causes the soft tissues of an infant's voice box to collapse inward during inhalation, partially blocking the airway). While they were being evaluated for treatment options, they also discovered that Beckett’s vocal cords are not moving on their own. Beckett had to undergo surgery on May 9 to remove the additional skin flap affecting the laryngomalacia. While recovering, he required some additional oxygen support from a CPAP and has now developed parainfluenza. With this additional, unexpected diagnosis, Beckett is now back on CPAP and everything else is being placed on hold for 7-10 days for him to recover. After he has recovered from the parainfluenza the medical team will continue to assist in trying to find a reason for his vocal cord paralysis and develop a further treatment plan to support Beckett. Currently, they are expected to perform additional surgery. This means that Beckett is going to remain in the PICU for a little while as they develop a plan and he is considered stable for discharge home. My goal is to help relieve them of the stress of unexpected medical expenses. The money raised will go directly to them to assist in paying medical bills and their regular bills at home. My hope is that the donations will eliminate the extreme financial burden, so they can continue to focus on and be fully present for Beckett and also for big brother, Knox, and big sister, Sutton!
If you are unable to donate- please lift them up in prayer while Beckett continues to grow and for the physicians and nurses on his team!
5/22/2025 Update: Beckett is undergoing an additional surgery today at 12:30p (ET) on his vocal cords
Beckett had surgery performed and all went smoothly. He will remain on a breathing tube and sedated for 11 days to help him recover and hope that the procedure allows him to breathe better on his own.
