Early Sunday morning little Easton presented with confusion, slurred speech and fine motor skill difficulty. He rapidly declined to the point during transport to the hospital he was unable to recall names of family members, common items in the car and lost movement of facial functions. Initially, the emergency department ruled out stroke by performing CT scans and an MRI. A lumbar puncture was attempted but unsuccessful. I special team was brought in to perform the Spinal Tap with the use of X Ray. 7 hours later we were informed his white count is elevated in his cerebrospinal fluid. With the cost of medical treatment we are looking for anything extra to spare. We are extremely grateful to the staff at UVRMC for all the thorough testing and treatment. I would like to personally thank you for reading this and for any form of help you can provide even if it is just a simple thought.
