Hi I’m Rebecca and I’m currently trying to raise funds for surgery for my sweet kitten’s potential surgery for repair or amputation of her right hind leg. Beatrix fell from the fourth floor of our Chinatown apartment in Victoria. She has sustained serious injuries to her body including a bad break in her femur which can’t be splinted, internal bleeding and collapsed lungs. She has some swelling and injuries to her precious little face. To spite all of this bad news, she still seems to be in good spirits. She’s purring and starting to show signs of movement in her back leg on the other side. She has a long road ahead to recovery if she can make it. We were considering euthanasia but when she came in, she was bright eyed and bushy tailed even though she has that sweet Manx crop tail. I couldn’t do it without seeing if she improves overnight. For context the accidentally happened this morning.

Veterinary care is very expensive and the surgery is going to cost approximately $8000 on top of the $4000 we’ve spent to get to the diagnostic stage that we are at.

If money is successfully raised it will go towards cost of care for Beatrix while they keep her comfortable at the hospital and then towards her potential surgery. If we are recommended to do amputation vs. Surgery the cost will be slightly lower and she will be a tripod. It would mean the world to me if you had anything to spare towards saving Beatrix. No amount is too little and every little bit helps.

Beatrix is an incredible 8 month old hunter and playful girl! I believe that she can pull through so even if you can’t contribute financially, sending her healing strength and love will be very much appreciated. Thank you so much! ❤️
