Baby Baker IVF Fund

Hi, we are Molly and Steve and we’re starting this gofundme to offset the cost of Steve’s sister Alexa and her husband Greg’s IVF journey.
Alexa and Greg met as seniors in high school and soon fell in love. 14 years later they are happily married but the one thing missing is a baby.
Alexa and Greg have been trying to conceive for 4 years with no luck. They tried to conceive naturally for a year which was unsuccessful. They then underwent many tests including lab work, semen analysis, HSG, saline sonogram, and specialty doctor appointments to further the understanding of why they were not getting pregnant. After numerous appointments, they were diagnosed with mild PCOS and male factor infertility. They were then recommended to a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist in Ohio. The fertility specialist then started Alexa on her first medicated cycle of Letrozole to try to conceive naturally with ovulation testing.
Without any success, the doctor then suggested moving on to an intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycle. In October of 2019 they had their first round of IUI, it failed. They tried another round of IUI in December of 2019, again it failed. After another heartbreaking fail, they decided to take a break from fertility treatments and just try to conceive naturally once more. After dozens of negative pregnancy tests and tears, they decided to try another round of IUI in August of 2021, and it unfortunately failed again.
After three failed IUIs, the doctor recommended the next step of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. In October they met with the doctors and had their first IVF consult appointment. The doctor shared the hopeful news that they have an 80-90% chance of conceiving with IVF! They are so excited to begin their journey but unfortunately IVF is not covered by insurance, and they have already spent thousands of dollars on their fertility journey thus far. The estimated cost of an IVF cycle and the medication is upwards of $25,000. We are hoping to help offset these costs with the money we raise through this fundraiser. Alexa and Greg are very hopeful for what these next few months have in store!

We would like to thank you for your contributions to Alexa and Greg, whether it be monetary, a listening ear, well wishes, positive vibes, prayers or shares. Let’s help make their dream of having a baby come true!❤️❤️❤️
