Hi, my name is Scott Warren and I'm raising money to help pay for medical expenses for my cousin Adam Smith and his family. Adam is more like a brother to me and this week his 4-month-old daughter was diagnosed with infant botulism.
Infant botulism is a rare bacterial infection that occurs in the large intestine of babies. It develops when a baby ingests botulinum spores, which are present in honey and soil. Infant botulism causes muscle weakness, which can lead to difficulty eating and breathing.
Babies with infant botulism need to be treated in a hospital which she is. With early diagnosis and proper medical care, a baby should fully recover from the illness and thankfully doctors believe that that have diagnosed and began treatment in a timely manner so we are expecting a full recovery in time but she still has a lot of hurdles to overcome.
Baby Ava is currently receiving BabyBIG infusion which is very costly ($45,000+) and this medicine had to be brought in from California because the diagnose is so rare. The medicine and hospital costs are overwhelming and so we are reaching out to YOU for help.
I set the target goal of $25,000 to start with and I believe that God can and will provide well beyond this target with YOUR help. All funds raised will go to medical expenses.
Please consider giving today and share this with as many people as possible.
God Bless
